The across industry program invests in projects that aim to provide wide benefits across the horticulture sector. Many of the projects funded would be difficult for industries to conduct on an individual basis.

Decisions on how across industry program funds are invested are recommended by the Industry Management Committee (IMC). The IMC is a committee of HAL and was established in November 2002 to provide leadership on the ‘big picture’ projects by focusing on over-arching issues that affect total horticulture or a majority of the industry members.
