Overview

When HAL invests levy and Commonwealth matching funds in R&D activities, we take a shared ownership position in all Intellectual Property (IP) developed through HAL-supported R&D projects.

This co-ownership allows HAL to influence the use and distribution of the outcomes of HAL-sponsored research projects.

The HAL Intellectual Property and Commercialisation Manager is responsible for identifying potentially valuable intellectual property and ensuring that it is used in the best interests of Australian horticultural growers.
